Don't require assembly of multiple pieces if one of those pieces is a spring

Especially if that piece needs to be loaded, and you need like 5 hands in order to put everything together as is. The result is a badly loaded spring, which can clamp onto things, but the faintest breeze is all it takes for it to quit on life.
